Many people pursue biofeedback in order to treat either anxiety or sleep issues, which can many times be connected. Biofeedback is a very effective technique in both of these areas, along with many others. Today I wanted to take some time to explain some of the other benefits of using biofeedback! Lets break out of the box a little and see what else biofeedback can help with.

Other areas biofeedback techniques may be effective in:

-       Chronic Pain: Through identifying painful areas and relaxation techniques, biofeedback may help relieve the discomfort brought on by muscle pain and tension.

-       Headaches: Biofeedback can be used to treat migraines and other headaches, which are often triggered by or intensified by stress and muscle tension.

-       High blood pressure: biofeedback is a great technique to lower blood pressure but should not replace blood pressure control medication

Feel free to contact me if you are interested in biofeedback treatment for any of these areas, Id be happy to answer any specific questions that may arise from this blog. Wishing everyone a happy holiday season, and remember to BREATHE! That is the first step to biofeedback!
