Continuing Education: Workshops and Trainings

Peachtree DBT is now offering continuing education trainings and workshops to professionals and students. Brought to you by our experienced clinicians, they serve to bring you a higher understanding of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and its use in clinical practice. Peachtree DBT trainings and workshops are only available for clinicians and students. 

 
 
DBT Fundamentals: Theory, Structure, Targets and Treatment Strategies 
 
The DBT Fundamentals training is designed specifically for clinicians who are looking for a greater understanding of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). We will dive deeper into the treatment structure, modes of treatment, and treatment strategies, as well as, explore the treatment hierarchy, therapy interfering behaviors, and commitment strategies. Lecture, video, role-play and small group exercises will be used to teach DBT theory, strategies, and techniques in depth. Snacks and coffee will be provided.

DBT Skills: Effective Instruction and Implementation

The DBT Skills workshop will review all of the concepts found in all of the DBT skills modules. We will highlight the changes in the 2nd edition of the manual and discuss skills training instruction. Review of skills within each skills training module including:

  • Mindfulness
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness
  • Distress Tolerance
  • Walk the Middle Path

Terminology and basic concepts of DBT will be reviewed as well as ways to effectively apply the skills in the participant’s respective settings to achieve the desired treatment outcomes.  Lecture, role-play, rapid rehearsal and small group exercises will be used to teach DBT strategies. Snacks and coffee will be provided.
