Continuing Education: Workshops and Trainings
Peachtree DBT is currently offering continuing education trainings and workshops for students and professionals. Brought to you by our experienced clinicians, our trainings and workshops serve to bring you a higher understanding of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and its use in clinical practice. Peachtree DBT trainings and workshops are only available for clinicians and students.
DBT Skills: Effective Instruction and Implementation (Webinar)
The DBT Skills workshop will review all of the concepts found in all of the DBT skills modules. We will highlight the changes in the 2nd edition of the manual and discuss skills training instruction. Review of skills within each skills training module including:
- Mindfulness
- Emotion Regulation
- Interpersonal Effectiveness
- Distress Tolerance
- Walk the Middle Path
Terminology and basic concepts of DBT will be reviewed as well as ways to effectively apply the skills in the participant’s respective settings to achieve the desired treatment outcomes. Lecture, role-play, rapid rehearsal and small group exercises will be used to teach DBT strategies. Snacks and coffee will be provided.
CEU: The attendee will earn 6 Telemental Core Continuing Education Hours per approval of the Georgia Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapist COVID-19 state of emergency provision for the 2018-2020 licensure renewal cycle which places no limit on the number of continuing education hours received online.
